Apply NowLife at SYNE Carbon
We are not a typical climate-tech company. SYNE Carbon operates with the discipline of a financial data firm and the intellectual depth of a research institution. Our work is trusted because every person on the team holds themselves to a standard of evidence-based, independent thinking.
Our ratings are independent, and so is our thinking. We hire people who question assumptions, challenge methodologies, and aren't afraid to publish findings that go against market consensus.
Every model assumption, every methodology choice, every rating decision is documented and debated. We do not rely on authority — we rely on evidence, peer review, and transparent reasoning.
We operate across London, Singapore, Amsterdam, and fully remote. Our processes are built for async collaboration — you'll never be penalised for working in a different time zone.
Carbon markets are growing rapidly, and so are we. Every person who joins now shapes what SYNE Carbon becomes — from the models we build to the markets we cover and the standards we set.
★★★★★"The depth of expertise here is unlike anywhere I've worked. You're sitting in meetings where the person next to you built the methodology you're discussing. That level of domain knowledge is rare."
★★★★★"I moved from a hedge fund to SYNE Carbon because I wanted my work to matter. The market impact we have — when a rating changes, institutional behaviour actually shifts — is something I never had before."
★★★★★"The remote setup actually works here. Not just tolerance for remote — genuinely built for it. I'm in Nairobi, my manager is in London, and we collaborate better than teams I've been on in the same office."
